GE Wireless mouse & keyboard

We just set up a computer system that my sister gave to us. The problem......it's a DELL Dimension 4300 and it came with a GE Wireless keyboard and a GE wireless mouse. It's not working or seeming to recognize anything. We changed the batteries and no luck. We restarted the computer - again, no luck........thoughts?

I put my Dell Dimension 9200 XPS 410 into sleep mode after connecting a wireless keyboard and mouse and the only way to wake it is to hold the power button in until it shuts off and then switch the power...

I would say it is in the Hibernation Mode To get it out of this mode you need to go to your Control Panel, open "POWER OPTION'S" and deselect the Hibernation mode then reboot.

Wireless mouse and keyboard issues

If you have both sets of keyboard and mouse plugged in, turn off the computer and remove the old mouse and plug in the new mouse. Reboot and if necessary use the keyboard to login. Once windows is loaded let it detect the new mouse and then shut down again. Take out the old keyboard and reboot. You should now be able to use both new pieces without problems.
