Click "under the bonnet" 4. Click "content settings" 5. Keep on the cookies section. Make sure it's on "allow local data......" Click "Exceptions" 6. Type in the facebook ULR 7. Apologies I've told you that a little wrong.
If you've added facebook in exceptions then remover it as it will block it. Try it first though. But if it doesn't work like I assume it won't then remove it and make sure it isn't blocked and if you need to go onto your "pop ups" and allow facebook and see what happens.

Whenever I log in to ...error message. You are using an incompatible web browser. Sorry, we're not cool enough to support your browser. Please keep it real with one of the following browsers: *...

What is the browser you're using? Here are the ONLY compatible browsers for Facebook:
  1. Mozilla Firefox
  2. Google Chrome
  3. Apple Safari
  4. Microsoft Internet Explorer
So it's better to use those web browsers for you to be able to use Facebook.

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to www.facebook.com

This is the second reference I've seen today about not being able to access Facebook. Try logging into the "non"-secure site, http://www.facebook.com. If that works, then try the secure version, https://www.facebook.com.

Also, test your ability to log in with other browsers, such as Firefox or Internet Explorer. That way, you will have a means to evaluate the cause of the problem.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks ~Jim :-)

My facebook page will not come up. What do I do?

Hi, If the page is not coming up, you can try to reset the IE settings to default settings or using another type of browser like Firefox or Google chrome. To reset the setting on Internet Explorer: - click on tools on the upper right - click on internet options - click on advanced tab - click on reset button For Google Chrome: - just delete the following folders - For Windows XPC:\\Documents and Settings\\UserName\\Local Settings\\Application Data\\Google\\Chrome\\Application
For Windows Vista or later
C:\\Users\\UserName\\AppData\\Local\\Google\\Chrome\\Application For Firefox: you can try to use Firefox in Safemode - a box will appear to ask you what you need to do with Firefox. - then you will asked to restart Firefox again.
Now all the browsers are restored to default, you can now try to log on to Facebook again.
Thank you for using Fixya,

I logged into facebook and it will not let me chat because it says that i have to upgrade my browser to internet explorer 9 how do i dothat

You can download the latest Internet Explorer from Microsoft's website.(http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/products/ie/home)

You can only upgrade to Internet Explorer 8 unless you have Windows 7 as your operating system.
Personally, I would suggest using a different browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Both of these browsers are more secure and faster than Internet Explorer and should allow you to chat on Facebook. Here are the respective links:
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/
Chrome: http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/landing_chrome.html?hl=en
I hope this helps!

Internet Explorer wont let me get on facebook

Try using a different browser, it's a pain to switch from a browser you've been using for a while, but since IE is known as one of the slowest browsers, it might be a relief. Try Safari, Firefox or Chrome.
Hope this helps!
