The 'sticky' windows can be caused by:

1) Dead windows seals rubber that are no longer flexible and can break down to the point of being sticky rubber: replace the seals or as a temporary solution rub a bar of wet soap on the seals where the windows slide against.

2) Lack of lubrication in the windows winder mechanism: you will need to remove the doors handles & internal covering panel to get to the gears located in the doors cavity where the windows slide in.

Hope it helps!

Lords the problem of the dashboard sticky has plagued me too for some time.
I asked the cost of a new dashboard UNBEARABLE!
I asked the owner of a car wash the cost to solve the problem 300 EURO!
I thought the use of a degreaser and put so pasienza to remove all that sticky substance from the dashboard to bring my car to the state of a car of the early eighties!

    I found this product STARDUST!

Why don"t my 2006 chevy Silverado slow shifting and want go into overdrive

If your truck has right at 50,000 miles on it, the transmission fluid and filter must be changed. This may help, although in my thirty-five years of mechanic experience, and twenty years' worth of GM 4L60E automatic transmission service, this transmission is in bad shape internally and will most likely have to be completely rebuilt.

F250 4X4 MANUAL HUBS WILL NOT ENGAGE ALSO HAVING

im not sure if a 2000 f150 and a 2000 f250 have the exact steering column, but incase it is then check at the base of the column inside and you may see a triangler shape bracket that the shift cable connects to,there will be 2 torque screws holding the bracket to the column, either a t-20 or t-25 not sure, they may be loose so the shifter will be sloppy...my 2000 f150 had that problem and i stumbled upon it,it seems to be a 2000 year issue...about the manual hubs, try locking them in and drive forward and reverse very slow a few times,if they lock in then they are sticky and it takes time for the spring inside to push then together.lock the hubs in first, then after a while shift to 4x4,because if they are just sticky,it may strip the teeth on the lockouts from the axel turning against the inside of the lockout.

I have toyota yaris 2008 with manual window can i replace it to automatic power window

You can but it is a LOT of work. You have to get a complete wire harness and route it to all your doors which means taking out about half your interior and some of the dash. Power windows use different tracks inside the doors as well as different mounting plates on the bottom of the windows so everything inside your doors needs to come out first before you can re-install the power windows. You will also need to replace the inside door panels to get rid of the hole for the window crank. Since this would be extremely expensive to do buying from the dealer you will have to try and find the parts at a salvage yard and the car is only a year old so parts cars are likely to be scarce. You will also need access to a wiring diagram for the car to make sure you have all the needed relays, fuses etc. to run the system. Hope this helps.

Where is the timing belt located on a toyota celica?

Assuming your Celica has a belt and not a chain (made from 1988 to 1999,) the timing belt is located behind a plastic cover on the right (passenger) side of the engine. It is not one of the belts that you can readily see; it is hidden behind a protective cover and you have to take off this timing cover as well as the alternator, A/C and power steering belts to get to your timing belt. You will likely also have to remove your right side engine mount. This is a three to four hour job when a mechanic is doing it; it will take someone uninitiated quite a bit longer.

If you are asking where it is located so you can inspect it like the owner's manual tells you to, don't bother. A timing belt that is three months old looks like one that is three years old; the only thing you would be able to tell is if failure were imminent - by looking at the roots of the teeth on the belt to see if the teeth are starting to separate from the rest of the belt. All other observations about the belt are not relevant to an evaluation of its condition; the only exception would be if the belt is getting coolant on it from a failing water pump. On most Celica engines, the timing belt drives the water pump as well as the camshaft.

To have it replaced is a multi-hundred dollar job; how many hundreds depends upon how thorough a job you want done. Timing belts are good for five years or 60,000 miles, so it is prudent (though not strictly necessary) to replace all of the pieces that might fail in the next five years and kill your timing belt - and your engine with it. These things include the timing belt tensioner and/or idler pulleys, water pump, and crankshaft and camshaft oil seals, and maybe the valve cover gasket (some Toyota engines.) Doing these things is foolish if you are planning on selling the car soon; not doing them is foolish if you plan to keep the car for more than two years.
