Unplug the unit and look inside the socket. there is a copper lead you can bend up as it might not be getting a good contact. If that is not it you can start by replacing the socket itself from the manufacturer. If that does not do it then you will have to replace the logic board. Whether you reair or replace get a surge protector on this unit 900 joules or higher. Thanks BB

I had a similar problem. I discovered the illuminated door bell switch I used as the inside door control would activate whenever the wall on which it was mounted had a heavy vibration from door slamming or thunder. Could this be your problem too?
Most of the time, that means someone has accidentally activated the Remote Lock Out feature on the inside wall mounted door opener switch. Check your Owners Manual for instructions on how to deactivate this.
Wall mounted door opener remote should get power from the main console once that is powered up. If you have wired correctly onto to the wall mounted unite and onto the main console and upon powering up the main console there is still no "life" on the wall mounted unit, I would check if there is actually any current coming it. You can easily do it with volt meter (Harbor Freight tools have a very good one for $7 or so). If no active current, call Chamberlain.
If the small light in your wall control is blinking it is in the lock mode. Press and hold for 3 seconds the button with the icon of a lock. This will toggle the lock function off.
does logic board on motor have a small pushbutton or dip slide switches? If pushbutton, push it for 10 seconds. let do. panel light stop blinking? Unit somehow got into lock mode, even though you do not have lock button. If this has stopped light from blinking, you now have to code remotes and or keypad back in. Push the little buton for 1 second and push a remote. Light bulbs on unit should blink. Take next remote (or keypad) and repeat this sequence for each one. Let me know. If you have safety beams, liftmaster should help you. w/o beams they will not support.
I have the exact same problem with 18 yr. old sears unit.
