Hi,
I would venture a guess that you have a Panasonic DVD/VCR combo. If yes, then it is possible that the H07 error is indicative of a motor problem. The normal corrective procedure would be to replace the motor.
If indeed it is a Panasonic and the motor in question, there is a temporary workaround which is better explained
here.

I have the same problem. Sylvania vhs dvd worked fine for a year and now says disk error on all versions of dvd. cannot record.suggestios?
I am having the VERY same problem! I called the help line and I have in hand the manuel to this model and all I can get out of these people is it needs cleaning which I do often and hardly ever use the thing anyway! Chalk it up to another piece of ****!
I bought it used, the dvd port had this problem from the get-go.
