How can I connect my laptop to my LCD TV through HDMI cable (brand:LG) (model:LF15 series) HD ready?

You'll need to make sure that your laptop & LCD TV have an HDMI port. If they both do, simply connect an HDMI cable from your laptop to your LCD TV and make sure the input on the LCD TV is set to receive A/V from the HDMI port.

I turn on the tv and i get a blue screen for 5 seconds and the tv shuts off. Any ideas?

This is normal on vizios, ours does it too. You have it switched onto RGB input. You need to change input after it comes on. Switch on and keep pressing change input button till it changes and then it will be fine. Alternatively plug in a computer on Rgb and then turn on, you will be able to change input normally.

I cant keep my tv turned on after i pushed the rgb button by mistake it keeps on displaying no signal and then it goes off

Turn on the TV again. You need to change the input from RGB back to cable or HDMI or Component or whatever input you have a source for. If you don't know which one, look at the back of the TV and the wires you've got plugged into it.
If it's 1 round coaxial cable, change the input to Cable.
If it's three wires (red, white, and yellow) change the input to A/V.
If it's 5 multicolored wires, change the input to Component.
If it's an HDMI cable, change input to HDMI.
If you cannot change the input before the TV turns itself off, try unplugging the TV from the wall socket for about 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in. If its still on RGB, you're going to have to either find a way to get faster at switching inputs, or find an RGB cable and something to connect it to your TV. This is a last resort however.

Hooked up hd cable to ps3 and tv, now have no sound

Be sure to check the cables. You may need to replace them.

Try the cables with another component, if possible.

Also, try using AV cables to verify that it is not the TV and to simply troubleshoot:

To get back to default AV settings:

Press and hold the power button until the systems shuts off. (wait 2 seconds)

Press and hold the power button again until it shuts off again.

Once you have verified that AV is working, turn off console, take out AV cables.

Plug in HDMI cable and turn system back on. Switch TV input to HDMI and it will ask you if you would like to use the HDMI cables, select yes again and verify.

If you cannot get sound, again, check the cables..

If new cables do not work, then your HDMI output is going bad, not from use rather normal wear and tear of the motherboard.

To get the best non HD picture, you will need to get some 'component' cables, rather than the standard AV (red, white, yellow).

Good luck

My AV2 doesnt work and either does my HDMI port does not work either??? but AV1 does ?????? what the hell????

The AV inputs are routed and controlled by the control processor on the mainboard. If one input has failed but another is just fine then definitely the circuits corresponding to those inputs have been fried. This usually happens during power outages, or when you connect units that are at a different electrical potential - they get damaged by the power surge.
There is nothing that can be done to revive them - the entire mainboard will have to be replaced.

HDMI conneection wont override tv picture

I am a sky engineer (not a subby)
the reason this does not come on straight away is because a Scart lead send power upto your telly when it is turned on. Telling the telly that this is what you want.
Unfortunately HDMI does not send power upto the telly. There are ways around this. ON Samsung, Panasonic and Lg tellys you can go into a secret menu and apply something called HOTEL MODE this allows you to change the av input so it would automatically come on your hdmi 1,2,3, etc

In your case follow my instructions below

go to the hdmi you are using for your Hd

on the sky remote
Press SELECT and GREEN until LED flashes twice.
Press HELP then SELECT and the LED will flash Twice. what this mean is when you press your Sky button, tv guide, services or interactive button to turn the sky on this will automatically change your av/source on your telly to the sky HD for you

You owe me a pint
Have a good one

The dogs rolled on the remote and the tv went to a blue screen and turned off. Every time you turn the tv on now it is a blue screen and says no signal and turns off after 10 seconds

This sounds as if when the dog rolled on your remote he has pressed the source button so that you are no longer on the TV cahnnel. The TV is looking for a different input eg. AV1/AV2/HDMI etc. This will give you a blue screen & as there is no signal the TV will switch off. Check on the remote for an Input or TV/AV or source button & make sure this is set for the TV signal.

Input Problem

Mine was the same, except i also could not access HD Components.
Unfortunately i had to get some one in, as the circuit board at the back of the tv was burnt out.You might have to get a technician in to service and replace the burnt circuit board.

T.v. will not stay on

Power on your TV and press the INPUT button on the side of the TV repeatedly and rapidly until you can change it to a different input, such as AV.

If this does not work. Try this: With the TV off, press and hold the input button on the side of the TV for about 5 seconds. The TV should power on and the input list will appear. Let me know if either of these work.
