Funny but I have a PHILIPS HDTV 42" Plasma and I still hear a clicking sound when I turn it on and/or off. As for the green flash screen I get that when I change channels but it is only for a milisecond because the TV is trying to adjust the screen according to its format on the channel. (ie. 1080i, 720, etc)
I did have it repaired because the screen cracked on its own one day as I was watching TV.(and I never dropped it or had anything hit it anywhere at all)
My warranty covered me for some independent repair company to replace my screen. After a year your basically on your own so buy insurance. I'm scared that the clicking has something to do with it tho... :-\
It depends, if it is clicking at first: that is good. It means that power just went through everything and the TV is ready to start itself up. I'm having a problem where: it will click once, everything starts to turn on, then there is a clicking noise from a completely diffrent part of the TV. This second click just so happens to turn the TV off for me(How convenient, i dont even have to push a button....it does it by itself). It doesnt give me more than 1.5 seconds before it turns itself off(Not enough time to get the bump code to know what is imediately wrong with it)....I also need help
(If this is a problem that is common, or at least known
Is this a dlp?
