I have lost the CD. The printer still works but I need to install it on another computor and I have looked for the CD everywhere . It is a Canon MX300 but I cannot find the serial no. I bought it at Harvey Norman, Albury NSW. Australia.

please log in to the safemode of the windows(press F8 button to get options) in safemode logon go to add remove hardware or system properties , remove all the printer drivers that have been installed. and restart in normal mode.

go to the below and download the EXE file for the driver :

If you do not have the software, you need to download the software from one of the following locations:

Official Canon Drivers and Software

Canon USA:DRIVER & DOWNLOADS

After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the software that you downloaded.
The software installer will tell you when to connect USB.

Just enter your operating system (most likely Windows XP), and you'll get a download link below. Run that file instead of loading the installation disc, and you should be good.
