Printer( HP DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer) won't direct paper into printer. I start to print and the paper will go in 1/8 of an inch to start the print job and then the paper is bounced back out. I get the error message, "Document Failed To Print" and no more information regardless of what I try to print. Print jobs load up in the queue. Deleted print jobs. Checked for paper jam and cannot find anything. Printer has sufficient amount of toner. Have tried turning the printer on and off and rebooting the computer. Printer is 5 years old but has had minimum use over time. Cover is over it when not in use so dust has not collected on/in the printer.

There's a row of buttons on the front - on the right as you face the printer. The lowest one is the power button.

1) Close the print head cover, and turn off the printer. While pressing the Resume/Cancel button, press the Power button. (Do not release the buttons. The LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.) 2) While holding the Power button, release the Resume/Cancel button. (Do not release the Power button.) 3) While holding the Power button, press the Resume/Cancel button 3 times, and then release the Power and Resume/Cancel buttons. 4) When the LED stops blinking and lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button 4 times. Finally press the Power button.
