Check the vac motor hose could be clogged? does the vacuum motor turn on? check the vac motor on switch for power using an ohms meter.could have a bad vacuum motor or micro switch.

It adds heat to the fresh water as it is pumped out on the floor. It will NOT heat cold water enough to clean the carpet. You have to put hot water in the clean water container.
First check your user's guide for filter cleaning. There are two filters both small that need cleaning after each use. If that didn't clear it up call Bissell Consumer Care at 1-800-237-7691

personally I would recommend just filling the soap container with water and a little bit of white vinegar instead of the detergent. You won't leave soap residue in your carpet that way.
Try checking the top section of the machine (where the dial is located to switch it from floor to tool) and there is a little red plastic piece about 1 inch square on the inside of it. This is a lint filter that has a little door on it. Open the door or remove the entire thing to clean it out. It is probably completely blocked with hair, etc.. which is why you have no suction. Replace it after you clean it out and hopefully your problem will be solved!
maybe there's not enough vacuum or it hasn't been primed enough. I have a proheat that drove me crazy till I started leaving the heat switch on. I get wads of carpet fiber that mat around brush and spit out on the carpet, so I frequently remove them. I'm just wondering if after you empty the water, it may not have built up the suction.
