No signal going sleep

how old is your monitor? can you try to conect another monitor your pc has integrated videocard? does it turn on and beeps?, you should check the back pannel of your pc and try to conect it to onboard video first (if it has), if you get signal get into the bios and change video output from onboard to a external card. if this thing dont work, then vga cord may be damaged or the card is not installed right or not working.

On my card, there are some files that indicate a "File Error." What does this mean and how do I fix it?

It usually occurs with slower cards. Also with cards that have never been formatted in the camera. Sometimes the write process on the picture/video that you just took hasn't yet completed, while you switch modes on the camera, going to say video mode, or from video to photo mode. That last video or photo that was being written didn't get a chance to finish writing to the card, so part of it may be lost. You can attempt to recover some of them using recovery software (here's some to try). But overall the fix is to use a faster card (look for Class 6 "C6" or higher), and always remember to format your card at least once in your camera using your camera's format feature (keeping in mind that a format will also erase your card, so make sure that you've backed up your photos to your computer first!)..

Monitor was in safe mode turned computor off and removed and replace ram. Monitor now flashing RV370 P N 113 A62801 106 BIOS not sure what to do now. to get computor booted back up

Hi...sounds like your video card has died on you. Do you have another video card lying around to swap out with the old and try?

When the video card is sending power to the monitor, the light will be green - if the light never turns from amber to green when the computer is booting, this means that the video card is not sending a signal to the monitor, probably because its toast.

My monitor is distorted. It is an E181H It is

Well, it has a maximum of 1024 × 768 @ 60Hz resolution. Double check that you have the correct Hz selected on your computer and that your computer video card supports the higher resolution. If the video card maxs out at 800 then the highest you can get is 800. If all your setting are correct and the video card is capable of using the settings you want then you may need to trade the monitor in or have it repaired. It should be under warranty being only 6 months old.

Monitor stays black. Says no video.

I'd try running windows in safe mode by holding down f8 at startup. If that ends up working it's probably a setting that is wrong. If all still remains black i'd look at testing another video card and monitor. Either one could be it.

Camera wont download to new computor

If your computer came with Windows Vista then there's no driver for the G2 and it wil not work.

The only thing you can do is buy a card reader which downloads your pictures directly from your card. They are thankfully cheap (usually less than $20) and easy to use.

There's a gazillion types of cards & card readers so make sure you buy the right one.
