Probably a weak ignitor does not draw a high enough amp draw to power the gas valve do not see many gas valve failures if you have a clamp on amp meter from the back of the unit clamp on the lead to the ignitor should be 3 amps or higher
That piece that glows (the ignitor) is weak and needs to be replaced ,to order that part you need the model nuber and a lot of times it is on a label inside of the storage drawer area
this Fault code F 9 is door latch supervisory .. you need to ck door circuit or replace clock assembly . also called the e r c ) .. this will in most services turn out to be the clock . the clock tells the latch what to do and its doing it . but i would ck the latch first .this part is much less costley .. m.m.
My Maytag , advanced Cooking system , super capacity gas stove has a problem with the oven. It looks like it lights, but most often, doesn't heat up, and I can sometimes smell gas. Anyone know what what cause this?
