My XBOX 360 just shuts off by itself. It's fine at the xbox menu, fine when in a game menu,but once the actual gameplay starts loading the whole thing just shuts off. It turns right back on but does the same thing.

If you both have Xbox 360s and want to play together, just buy an Xbox Live subscription and play via the Internet. Otherwise, it is impossible to play with him via Skype because your controller would not have an adequate range to connect to his console.

I have never heard this issue before. You probably have a lager issue then what can be resolved here and might face future issue in the future. Is this the only game you are having issues with?

Seeing that you mentioned you have purchased a hard drive then I would recommend you install the game to your hard drive and try play after that. This will resolve any issues possably of your disk drive possably getting hung up during gameplay.

follow these instructions to get your game installed on your hard drive:

Install Xbox 360 games on your hard drive from a game disc Note Installing an Xbox 360 game on a hard drive requires between 4 and 8 gigabytes (GB) of free disc space.

1. Insert the game disc into the disc drive.

2. From the Xbox Dashboard, go to My Xbox.
3. Select the game you want to install.
4. Press Y on your controller.

   A progress indicator appears while your game is being installed on your hard drive.

Notes

• Installing an Xbox 360 game might take several minutes.
• Multidisc game? Install each disc to your hard drive.

I doubt it's the 360 since everything else is working just fine. The menu works fine, the game works fine. However if you downloaded one of these maps from the marketplace it may be corrupt, and you will have to delete and re-download the map pack.

i have never heard of a problem like this, but it sounds like the console isn't loading the game all the way.

There is a sensitivity setting in the Xbox menu. This should fix the problem.

Both Fallout 3 and Oblivion have similar problems. The sensitivity is kind of off for these games and you will probably have to adjust the sensitivity as I had to. :-)

try checking if ur discs scratched, as xbox 360s tend to scratch discs

same thing happen to me today, exact same thing on cod4 then i got the E-74 error code.. i thought it was my HDMI cord so i put in the orginal HD component cables.. turned it back on then i got the error message E-74.....the best thing to do is call mircosoft or go online and set up a fixer....becuase there is nothing to do... overheating it with towels works for a while maybe an hour or so then it's the same MATRIX lines... turn it off then the error message appears...if your handy and trust yourself or impatient then take it apart...its ton of videos online to help you...as for me ill wait...but it really sucks since madden comes out in an hour:(...good luck!!!!!
