Acer aspire 5050 built in camera doesnot work

1st You download Webcam Driver.
Installer After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.

check if their is any program that are using your camera. closed any open program that related to your camera.
or try uninstall the software of your camera be sure you have to restart the pc after uninstalling, and install it again your camera sofware and driver.

I Have checked the device connection , it is o.k

try to re stat your computer after opening it, press CTRL+ALT+DEL then on the task manager closeal the application that might be using the camera.

check your lap top keyboard you'll see a key on whichhas been written "fn" and also an other key on which o can see the image of a web cam on it. Press both keys at the same time to activate the web cam.

hi there , hey have you went to the bios setup and checked the setting for the usb port and made sure that they were inabled and checked device manager and looked for view and than selected devices by connection and seen if there were any problems and you can also use the system restore if all fails and see what that gets you ok please let me know there still is a lot of things that can be tried but see if any of these will help

go to advanced
Make sure os installation status is set to finished
save and exit
Camera should then work

Hi if you are using WinXP install SP2 so that your Cam is recognized and then install the corresponding driver for the Cam .

Checked if your orbicam is in device manager (under imaging device),
if it still there, you might have wrong orbicam application installed. try to download the orbicam application, there are 3 type of orbicam for Aspire 5050 (suyin, bison and logitech). try to installed one by one.
or if you can try to reload the whole windows, using alt+f10 during boot.
