Call Sprint and reset the phone. They will give you a code to type into the keypad along with another code to activate the reset.

Hello, please can you help me (and bear with me as I am somewhat technically challenged..) I have an HTC Snap S521 that has been working perfectly for the past 7 months.. suddenly my home screen has...

the start menu should still work to get to your settings if not and you bought the phone new 7 months ago take it back to the store phones have a waranty for 1 year and they have to fix it.
If you can't/don't want to take it back to the store you can hard reset it yourself (this will delete everything!)
Power off mode, press VOLUME UP and POWER BUTTON at the same time. The follow on-screen instructions to set everything back up again.

I lost my question mark ... How do I get this back

Hi, if you're getting an e with an accent on it when you try to type a question mark, you may have the French keyboard layout selected. To change it back to the English layout, follow these steps:
In Windows Vista/7: 1) Click the Start button and click Control Panel
2) Underneath Clock, Language and Region, click Change keyboards or other input methods
3) Click the Change Keyboards button
4) Under Default input language, make sure English is selected. In the Installed Services box, delete any languages you do not need by selecting them and clicking the Remove button. Make sure you don't delete US!

Deleting Texts

The only way i found to fix this problem is to do a hard reset.

In your phone select start > settings > security > master clear

there is a password required to perform this operation: the default is 0-0-0-0 (zero, zero, zero, zero).
