Deleting songs i'm needing to delete and alter my playlist on the mp3 player and the instruction booklet i received doesn't have any info on that. also, i have downloaded songs from bigpond music but i can't seem to get them onto the mp3 player as they are locked??? help me please! Allison

Try this easy way to delete your unwanted songs...

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod

BIG WARNING: DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
ONE MORE BIG WARNING: BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.

Save what you want and Delete songs and Format (Helps with try to delete BAD TRACKS and folders that will not delete(Some ripped CD folders).. Go to my computer scroll to sansa or your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders them selfs then format a couple of times hope this works

Deleteing Playlist: Open my computer double click my music Here you should find the folder my play list double click and delete file .wpl or .m3u these are the playlists....You can also go to search type .wpl enter when located delete remember where file was located...Windows Media Player will find them also and you can delete from there.. (Library)

Plug in your MP3 player to your computer.
Open link to player and select playlist or song to delete. Right click. This should open an options list.Left click on delete. Then right click on any blank space.

what you need to do is plug the mp3 into the computer, next open the mp3 player musoc file, then you will have the ability to add or delete songs thwn you will have space to add as many songs as you like

Open the 'Playlist on the go' and scroll to the last in the songs list. There u will find an option 'Clear Playlist....
From there you can delete the Songs from Go Playlist

The below was copyed froma an earlier post of mine, read the bottom. Over a period of time your info can get corrupt from transering music back and forth. To format plug it in to usb. Go to my computer It shows up as a removably disc, usually drive f: Right click on drive f: (or the approriate drive) and click format. Let me know what happens, you will have reload the player, also try bypassing the software you are using to tranfer, by opening up drive f: and clicking and dragging your music into it , or you can copy and paste it into drive f: L8R Playlists can be created by puttung your music in separte folders within drive f:, each folder will show up as a playlist. Try this and let me know if it works: Plug the player into the computer (by the USB cable obviously), open your Rio Music Manager, go to "Tools", "Synchronization options". Then create a "synchronization profile" as instructed. As you progress through the instructions, your second preferrence to edit is called "content deletion". This is where you can tell your player to NEVER delete your music. (Choose "never" from the dropdown menu). Then follow the rest of the steps, answering the other questions as you prefer. Hopefully this will prevent your player from losing songs you've already downloaded.
