Sometime this can happen when you upgrade the firmware in the wireless router. Try installing the latest wireless card/ LAN card drivers for each of the computers. This may fix your problem.

I just reset my dell computer back to factory setting. How do I now reset up for internet connection. My provider is verizon and I am using internet explorer

You want to reset your internet connection???
If yes then follow the given steps....

Step 1

Turn the modem so that the back of it is facing you. Locate the power supply cord connected to the back of the device.
Step 2

Gently unplug the power supply cord and leave it unplugged for about 10 seconds. If you also have a router connected to the modem, disconnect the power cord of the router as well.
Step 3

After about 10 seconds reconnect the DSL modem power cord. Wait for the status lights on the front of the unit to come on. They may blink at first before turning solid green, or they may first illuminate as orange, then turn green, depending on the modem model. The "Internet" and "Incoming" lights may continue to flicker, this is normal operation for modems.
Step 4

After the modem is reset, reconnect the router power supply if you have a router. Wait a few minutes before resuming normal Internet use.

Trying to set up my wireless router after moving.

Hello my name is Israel and I will be glad to help. First be sure that the modem is up and running. You should have green lights on your modem. Once you are sure that the modem is up and running, you will need to contact your interent service provider. Ask them to remotely reset your modem. They will ask you why, explain to them that you are setting up a router and need to have it reset. Once they complete the operation you should be able to continue your network setup. Good luck, Please rate.

Siemens 4100 modem

You may have a bad power supply.
You would be better off picking up a small APC or UPS and have all your computer devices running thru.
It is common that after a power interruption the modem must reset to regain it lost signal

When I connect through the router I cannot get on the web

connecting the router you must first bridge the modem. For as to do that you must first identify the modem of your modem. Example if its SpeedStream 4100/4100b/5100b bridging the modem will be doing the ffg steps: launch IE then on address bar type in 192.168.0.1 then your prompted to the modem's page. Click on the advance tab then select PPP location then Bridge modem then click save changes. After which you may add now the router to the setup - blue cable connected to WAN port of the router and to the blue port on the back of your modem. Then ensuring that we have good physical connection - we then access the routers page. Or we are now in routers authentication --- it also depends on model or type of our router (LINKSYS, D-LINK, NETGEAR). For me to continue this please reply me the type of router you are using.

Arimex comcast router won't talk to belkin wireless g plus mimo router

Comcast has a little known "trick" that they use when setting up users. Here's how it works:

When Comcast first comes to setup your new cable modem service, they insist on connecting it to your computer and "testing" it. Most people think nothing of it, and that it's good customer service ...truth be told, what they are doing is attaching your computer's MAC address to that cable modem, so that you cannot create a wireless network. This is because they want you to pay them $150 to do this for you.

In this situation, since the modem is a modem/wireless router in one, my guess is that the MAC address on your machine now does not match the MAC address on the new router, which is what Comcast has stored in their database(s).

Try this: on your computer (while connected to the modem), perform a release on your IP address (start, run, cmd, then type "ipconfig /release"). Disconnect the ethernet cable from the computer. Turn computer off completely. Hold down the reset button on the cable modem until it performs a reset. Once it's back up and running, boot up your computer with the cable back in the ethernet port.

The cable modem should assign a new address to your computer. However, that may or may not work ...this is an easy workaround with a Linksys router, but not necessarily with the all-in-one devices.

Worst case scenario: contact Comcast and notify them that the new modem is not recognizing your computer's MAC address and that it needs to be updated in their system. They will scan your computer (through the telnet interface on your modem) and get your computer's MAC address, then (hopefully) make the necessary changes on their end.

After that, everything should work flawlessly. If not, insist on a Comcast tech to "fix" the service that you are paying for.

Good luck - hope this helps :)
