When i try to go to the big "e" you know, to get on the internet, it freezes up, and you can't close out, you try to just go again, and that one freezes up too. The only way to get it off is to restart the computer, and that may or may not work. does anybody have any idea what that could be?

I don't have the access point network key. How do I continue to install my new MP640R unit to my in home wireless network?

Plug the router into your pc with an ethernet cable ( unless you can log onto the router wirelessly ), log onto the router and set/change your network key.
If you are unsure how, just google youe router and set up.
When you have your network key from the router you can set your wireless printer up

Unable to log on to network with Apple Laptop

The type of computer doesn't matter, as the protocols are the same. Check your router's dhcp settings, as you may have it set to allow too few IPs to be distributed.

Connecting to network
The exact error message should be:
"Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you
on to the network [SSID]"
Google shows 37 hits with this exact phrase.
This is caused by setting the encryption to WPA-RADIUS instead of
WPA-PSK on the client radio. Both the router and the client are
trying to find a RADIUS server with which to authenticate your system.
Switch the encryption to WPA-PSK (pre-shared key) on both ends and it
will work.
