Re: SAMSUNG CD-ROM SH 152>> Detection Error
After connecting it to the motherboard, switch on the pc, then go to properties of "my computer" then choose "Hardware" then choose device manager and over here u will come to know weather ur CD rom has been detected or not, if it has a question mark then it means u have to install drivers for it, but if ur using Win XP, i am sure it shd detect automatically and need not ask for drivers. Hoping a good rating from u....!!!

You may have :
- Dirt cd rom lens ( please clean it with cd cleaner )
- Scratch cd ( please check your cd) or wrong format cd? please try other cd to check your cd room
- Or do you have a defective lens ( step 1 and 2 above will led you to know this)
- Or maybe do you encounter problem during install the driver ( if yes, you need to re install the driver)
When i am trying to close my tray then the tray goes inside and comes back after several times of my try sometimes it may work or sometimes it won't work .and the cd is also detecting sometimes i fed up with this plz give a solution...
Power Calibration error indicates that the drive hasn't been kept clean and is unable to guarantee a good write to disc... I recommend a wet and dry CD/DVD Cleaner disk with Alcohol on the wet side (Like Tape Head cleaner liquid) and let it dry for a minute then run the disc again... if it still happens the drive is on its way out.
Can you see it in your device manager? if you can't then its a physical problem which means you will need to double check your physical connections between the cdrom and your motherboard as well as the power connections.
Another way to double check is go to your bios and see if the biois detects your cdrom. If it doesnt then i think you cdrom is dead.
