99 Mazda Protege and Parrot CK3100 Problem

I connected the CK3100 with a recommended wiring harness. When the harness ground is hooked up the CK3100 works fine but the factory radio doesn't. Disconnect the harness ground and the radio works fine and the CK3100 doesn't work. What's going on?

Some of the autoradio has the mute function already included to the autoradio, and when you add it, it may create troubles.

Then try without the mute cable connect and see if it is working.
Did you select the harness which the right reference of audio system?
You will have to ensure it.

I have a parrot ck3100 and had it installed and it worked well for a day or so then it stopped audio from the parrot. It still says connected but no sound is heard from any function. Can anyone help?

If the parrot kit sound comes from your car speakers and your radio is working then the problem may be a wire in one of the connectors that are plugged into the Parrot blue box, I have seen wires pushing out when the plug is inserted.

First, you will have to know if the vehicle has a facra or an iso norme build in it.

If it is a Facra, the wires to wires install is still possible but complicated and will necesarly need to get the diagram. Especially if the vehicle has an amplified system build in it. Or maybe optic fiber somewhere in the vehicle.

The vehicle has maybe an mute included into the autoradio, then the hot question you have is about the existing cable harness existing.

In that case I will advising you to get in touch with the manufacturer of the kit to get informed.

Connected Parrot Ck3100 in Toyota Rav4 with Alpine 5897 aftermarket head unit. Tapped the Parrot harness into the speaker wire between the Front driver side speaker and amp, per instructions and phone...

First, you will have to ensure that the vehicle doesn't have an amplified system build in it. Cause in that case the kit should use the two wires line in and line out and check behind the autoradio if you have the entries line in line out. (with this solution, no accessibility with the mute when you have the radio and you receive a call).

But the general idea is to ensure about the vehicle system build in it, cause with an amplified system, you have to avoid it to passing the sound directly to the speakers. (may be wires to wires or a specific harness which is taking acount of it).

Wire diagram for the mazda protege stereo what

Sometimes if its the factory harness, you can see fine print on the wires telling what each wire is for. If not, remember, red is hot, black is ground, and your smaller wires all colored purple, brown, gray, green, orange, blue..there will be two of each color, one with a black stripe, that is your ground for the speaker hook up..There also might be a yellow or light blue wire, test that wire for power when the key is off, that is your memory power supply.good luck.

I can't connect Verizon Gleam SCH-U700 to Parrot CK3100

This solution came from Parrot Tech Support and it worked for me:

We were able to get the two to pair using the following steps:
The phone will stay saying pairing, then the parrot will say pairing successful, pull the battery on the phone, when you turn it back on, the phone will display PARROT CK3100 WANTS TO PAIR, ACCEPT? Say YES.
