How can I unlock a verizon Phone?
The short answer is that you cannot unlock a verizon phone for use on T-mobile.
There are exceptions, but it is a bit complex, so I'll do my best to keep it simple.
Most cellular networks these days operate using GSM radios, which use SIM cards. While most of the newer Verizon phones these days do use SIM cards, that's only for the new 4g/LTE radios they have.
The basic verizon service does not use a SIM card, or even GSM at all, but rather an older technology called CDMA. The difference is most easily compared to the difference between analog television and digital television. So while you can unlock a verizon phone, chances are the model you got has an LTE SIM card, and not a GSM SIM.
The exception would be certain phones that do have a global model, which come with two radios. One CDMA to work on the basic Verizon network, and the other a GSM so that you can insert a SIM card and take your phone to another country, where GSM is actually more of an international standard.
So unless you have a Global model of a verizon phone, the chances are very slim you'd be able to take your current device over to another provider. If, however, you do have a global model, then taking your phone to a Verizon store and telling them you wish to have it unlocked as you will be cancelling your contract with them and switching to another service, they would likely have to help you.
