I have a 19" Emerson TV receiver whose original remote just quit working. I have the TV owner's manual, but it only describes the use of the remote. No code, or any way to program it.
I changed the batteries, but it didn't help.
If you can get me the remote code and the method that I need to program the code, it probably would solve all of my problems.

Hi, if you have some electronic/technical skills you can disassemble the remote, clean the keypad contacts with isopropyl alcohol and resolder the crystal (a little square shaped, orange/blue box), the transistor driving the IR LED and the IR Led.
Test it by pointing the emitter to any video camera (it can be a cellphone camera). If you can see the IR beam in the camera, your remote is fine.
If the beam isn't emmited from the remote, probably the key encoder/transmitter IC is defective.
Hi, it would be of great help if you can upload a better picture so i can read the keys, try using the "Macro" function on the camera or, better, scanning the remote using a flatbed scanner.
I found the following instructions, maybe that doesn't apply to your remote because i can't see the keys to search a better instruction.
Try pressing "CALL" + "ENTER" at the same time until the LED is lighted, then enter the two digit code using the numeric keypad.

Thanks to coolguy008 I have the code for this emerson remote (00), but I still need the instructions on how to program it. Sorry for the bad picture. It was the best of 20 that I tried. The 19" emerson tv model number is TC1965D. If anyone can explain the program process, I would appreciate it.
