INSIGNIA FLAT SCREE HDTV

6 months ago I purchased an Insignia Flat screen HDTV. I recently noticed a verticle line seemingly burned in at the 3" "non hdtv"side bar. It is under the original 12 month warranty with an extended warranty from Best Buy. Can this be repaired or does it need to be replaced? i dont want any "bs" when I call them. I have in home service. I dont want to "lose" use of tv while it is shipped for repair, only to find out it has to be replaced. Tech lingo would be helpfull.Thanks

Best thing you can do is call 888-Best-Buy and schedule a service call. I wish i could tell you if it would be a repair or replace situation, but that will greatly depend on the part availability for your TV.
Insignia parts are often very hard to find (only 2 or 3 parts vendors in the US) so the sooner you call the better your chances of a quick repair.

We received a second hand 32" insignia about 2

The display panel is bad and to expensive to fix. You can check the board at the top . This is the T con board . Be sure that the flat cables ans pluggin good.

2 horizontal lines which scroll

Place a 2 to 3 prong AC adapter on the power cord. It will isolate the ground and should fix your problem.

Purchased a 42-Screen "flickers"

Inverter Board going bad or loose plug, then the backlight board will fail within 3-4 weeks later. Good thing you saved a few hundred on the x-warranty, BB won't do a damned thing for you regardless; it's discontinued & they lie about their 'replacement vouchers'.
A 12" bi-metal blade is recommended for your reciprocating saw so that you can cut this thing into small enough pieces for your trash collection.

Turn on TV insignia 26 inch DVD combo. Screen is blank with colored lines. Leaving it switched on it will eventually come on after approx 5 mins. Sound comes through after switching it on.

Your TV will likely require repairs for this issue to be resolved. Service can be obtained by carrying the unit in to the place of purchase.

I would take it back. I know from purchasing an Insignia LCD from them a while back, the TV just died after about 4 or 5 months. They ended up offering me another TV or with store credit. I took the store credit and chose another TV. I also did not have a warranty. I was told since it was Insignia (which is a Best Buy house brand) that replacing it was not a problem. Good luck.
