The sound coming out of the speakers suddenly cut out. Not entirely. You can still hear the music, only at a very low volume and with a very tinny sound. Any suggestions?
I had the same problem and it was the Tape-2 Monitor was turned on. I just pushed the button and the music was blasting (I still had it cranked up from when I was testing it).I had the same problem and it was the Tape-2 Monitor was turned on. Sounds like the tape monitor may be turned on. First place to check anyways. If it is not the problem, I am happy to talk more about it with you and do some more diagnoses.

Sometimes radios have Mute feature. Check if it has been activated by accident. If OK but still low volume sound, remove the unit and test it on a bench with different speakers. If OK then check the speaker cables in you car. Some may have shorted.
first thing,,,,make sure the speaker wires are not touching each other.
i dont think it would be a fuse because that would cut the sound completely.you could open the unit to check for a fuse or fuses.
if none of the above help, then take the unit to a tech.i suspect a blown channel which means a capacitor needs to be replaced.one more thing...swap speakers over to make sure your speaker isnt blown
This may sound silly, bit do you have your tablet in a sleeve or cover? If so, check that the cover is not covering the speaker outlet(s) on the back of the tablet. If it is, a hole or slot cut into the cover over where the speakers are located should fix the problem.
By the way, a quick test to see if this is the proble is to operate the tablet with the cover removed. If the sound is now OK, it's the cover causing the problem. This happens more often than you might think...
Also, some tablet do have really poor audio systems and both low volume and low quality sound. Hopefully your tablet is not one of them.
Your phone is set on handset mode. While playing music, press the blackberry button and select the activate speakerphone option on the list. This would work for you.
If you have an extra headset around, plug it into the same place the speakers are plugged into, if it works, your speakers are bad (or check to make sure the power light is on on them and that their volume knob is turned up). If you still do not get sound, click on your little volume/speaker icon by your clock, then click 'mixer' at the bottom of it (Windows 7 hopefully?). Make sure the different volume controls are turned up because sometimes one low one will affect the entire system. (If Windows XP, right-click the speaker, then 'Open Volume Control'. Adjust until you hear sound.)
Most amplifiers design to cut out when there is an overload, such as playing the music too loud. It helps protect the device from being damaged. If the device does it at low volume, and does it sometimes, check the wring to the speaker, something might be shorting it out intermitently.
this is a problem which occurs and they can't fix, they will probably send out another unit (not brand new unless you insist) so contact b and w servce or point of sale, and they should arrange collection
Not much you can do about this. The movie industry sets movies to low volume when recording for better sound. They expect you to have the equipment to boost the sound. This cuts down on their outside noise. Only solution for this is to install external speakers as I have done for my movie or TV playing (I installed a TV adapter so I could hook up a projector and display the BIG game outside) but as you say, we couldn't hear it until I hooked up external speakers.
