I still love you

When you click on Print in the upper right hand corner drop down, you usually get a printer panel where you can make choices (number of pages, etc.). You also have a button that might say Preferences or Properties and if you click it you see a choice to print in black & white or not in black & white (which is color) so take the check mark out of this choice and see if your color works.

printer will not print

Please follow the steps given below:
1. Press "Fax Mode" button.
2. Press "Menu" button.
3. Use the "Down Arrow" till the display reads "Maintenance."
4. Press "Select."
5. Use the "Down Arrow" buttons till the display reads "Reset Defaults."
6. Press key pad "1."
7. Press "Select."

This will restore to factory default

To get your printer to recognize the new cartridge; go to start - printer and faxes -right click on printer - preferences (printing preferences) -settings -load factory settings. Print test page Ctrl+P

This can differ b/n manufacturer and models, but basically what you have to do is get in to the printer properties window. Go to File>Print. In the box that pops up, make sure your printer is selected and click the "properties" window. THere is usually a tab that says "Printing Preferences", but like I said, this can vary. Just go thru all tabs and if you are looking to print in black, look for an entry that says "Print in grey scale" or "Economy Print". That should resolve your issue. Be sure to click OK in the box when you're done :O)
