Hi
If you know anything about RF stages of your unit you may be able to adjust IF transformer next to the crystal and do the same little adjustment in the receiving stages of the receiver.

The magic sing has an omnidirectional antenna which is unnecessary since you will be standing directly in front of it while using it. I recommend you take an aluminum pie plate or other aluminum piece that is larger than the antenna and place it directly behind it, perhaps even held on by tape to the antenna. You can even bend it around the antenna in the form of a V with the opening towards you, where you'll be holding the mic. This will block the other signals from your neighbor while still allow you to use it. It may even block your signals from leaking onto your neighbor's unit.

Interference on psm200 wireless monitor

  • Because the US govt. has sold off those frequencies to Sprint/ATT/Verizon and that is the interference you are hearing. It is now ******* to use those systems, as they interfere with cellular systems. I wouldn't buy another wireless system for a year or so, as the govt. has just done this AGAIN and audio pros will now again be buying new wireless systems replaced just years ago because of the govt's need for money and cell co's need for bandwidth.
  • Next time, step up and buy a tuneable system that will allow you to scan for open frequencies to use so you can avoid stepping on/being stepped on by someone else using the same frequency but with much more power than the 20 mw a PSM 200 puts out.
  • You cannot legally sell this system (new or used) in the US today. To unload it, sell it on eBay Mexico or europe, where these frequencies are still in use and legal.

I have connected the Magic Sing to a HD TV and a home theatre system and now get a sound-lag between the voice and the sound on the home theatre. Any ideas?

You need to connect directly the sound wire of your magic sing to your home theather while the video wire of your magic sing directly to your hdtv. If its difficult to do because of distance, buy an rca extension to extend your magic sing wire to make it reach to the other end.

2-second delay with Magic Sing

i bought et18k. just the same as yours.its 2 days old and has the same problem. the technical assistant says that its because of the digital setting that new tvs have. there are two ways to solve this though:

1. connect the video (yellow plug) to the tv. and the other two plugs (yellow and white) to the stereo. when i say stereo, its not the dvd home theater system that you have but a separate one. if you connect it to the home theater that you have, it'll just sound the same, you still have the delay.

2. connect the magic sing to the older tvs hangin out. and you'll get no problem at all.

**TVs such as sony, samsung, philips, sharp and all plasma tvs including other newly designed tvs will have the delay since they all share the HDMI thingy that causes sh*t.

Magic sing....i cant hear my voice or anything but all videos and songs are fine help!

you need to replace the voice coil. it is already grounded, that is the one inside the mic ball (where you speak or sing). it is not repairable so you need to purchase a new voice coil

I upgraded my Linksys WRV54G firmware from 2.39.2 to 2.39.2e and completely lost internet connectivity

hi there,
have you tried to reset your wireless router so that the default settings are being used, then try reconfiguring it again for your Internet connection.. then try to connect wireless again ... sounds like your router may have lost its settings which happens for some firmware upgrades.....

Wireless Interferences
Neighboring wireless networks or any appliance that operates on the same frequency as your wireless device (e.g. 2.4 GHz) may cause interference and therefore may affect your wireless connection and signal.
Common sources of interference are:
  • Neighboring wireless networks
  • Microwave ovens
  • 2.4 GHz cordless telephones
  • Bluetooth devices
  • Wireless baby monitors
To solve the problem, change the channel and SSID on your Access Point. Preferred channels to use are 1, 6 and 11 since they’re considered non-overlapping channels.

Vocal problem

hi there..if there is video and background audio coming out from the TV, and no voice recognition from the mic- then mic is the problem. I believed the problem is the "voice coil". This is a part that can be replaced- you can contact me and we can repair that.

two ways to check
remove the mic ball
the part which the mic ball is is covering is the voice coil.
try holding both terminals (black and white wire)- if there is feedback sound- it is open and need to be replaced
try using your tester- test the impedance- there should be 500- 600 ohms reading
