I just put in a new radio/cd player. It checked out and works fine. Now I have a flashing airbag alarm. It is a 2005 frontier truck. I checked the negative battery terminal that I had off for a while. Is there a resetting procedure for the airbags? The wiring for the airbags wasn't related to the audio system. What do you suggest? Roger

Airbags should reset after three minutes of having no power to it. Try disconnecting both battery terminals for a bit. If that has no effect the Safety Restraint System computer (or SRS) will need to be reset, and dealerships are usually the only people with a license for the SRS computer reader.

If the number lights are out and the CD player is also dead it sounds like you lost power to the player. Check all your fuses as the radio and CD player may have separate fuses. Also check any visible wires to see if there is a possible disconnect.

2005 chevy trailblazer cd player won't eject cd

I have a 06 Z71 and it did the same thing so more than likely your just going to have to buy a new cd player. I would recommend going with an aftermarket cd player because you probably going to spend just as much on another stock unit.

Cd player quit working after i changed the battery radio still works fine.

kzingraff, I have a similar situation to Craig Waldie. I have a 2005 Durango and the CD player has not worked since I replaced the battery. Just like his 2004, the radio works perfectly, just not able to use the CD player. How can this issue be fixed?

If i get a new cd player/radio for my jetta work if in safe mode?

If you buy another factory radio it'll need the unlock code to work with your factory alarm system. But if you go with an after market radio it'll work just fine, your alarm will just think there's no radio installed.
