Frigidaire front load washer model FWT647GHSO it is 7 years old , when it goes into high speed spin it make a load noise , large pulley is tight on the back, belt is ok , shocks look ok.
Turn the tub on the inside if it feels ruff as it turns and makes a noise then most likely you have a bad rear bearing, if it is smooth in turning and no noise then turn to drain or spin possibly something stuck in drain pump. the drain pump will start up first if you hear the noise then the drain pump is accessed from the front lower cover, if its the rear bearing probably not worth fixing about 400.00 in parts and alot of work.
Hey friend, thank you for your post!
I see that your Frigidaire washer, FWT449GFS2 is not entering the final high spin cycle. It is possible that you could have a defective motor or timer. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend you having a professional come out to the home for the repair of your washer. -Matt

We're trying to get a competant service engineer and to diagnose the issue exessive and loud vibration with shreds of plastic (like cheese grated) in ashed clothes.
No one opens it up but writes the service ticket with bearing. Our worry is that is the spider bracket at back that spis the tub.
Difference is $300 in maybe uneeded parts for a drum and spider bracket.
We'e trying to diagnose a very similar issuewhat was your solution in the end? Service person has come and providd an estimate but did not take it apart.
It's either a rear shell bearing, spider bracket or both. There are also little shavings of white plastic in the cloths like someone used a cheese grater with plastic.
There seems to be 2 parts to do the job + labor either way the labor will be similar in tme. But the unknown spider backet is part of the inner tub and an additional $300+
That said the washer has been very reliable to date in 7 years of non stop servce.
