Depending on the type of Tv you have look for the Red Blue and Green RCA Compsite jacks on the back and the Left and Right Audio Which are Red & White Plug them in and Check the connection by turning th 360 plug to HD (near the console) and turn it the Tv and 360 on (make sure the Tv is on the right input) and that should do it.

You may need to change your HD settings on the back of the console ( HD setting is actually on cord ) I had that issue when I first went online w/360 . If that does not help u know X box costumer support will repair any damaged system prob. no cost and does'nt take as long as they say.

HOOKING UP XBOX 360 TO HDTV

You have to use the regular red and white cords(not the yellow) and u have to use all 3 hd cords. If ur tv doesnt have a place to put the cords in, then it isnt HD. Also on the plug connecting to the 360, there is a switch that has HD and regular, switch it to HD. hope this helped.

Your component cable is probably switched to the HD setting. You have to switch it back in order to get video when hooked up to a regular TV.

How to hook up a XBOX 360 to an HDTV

You can go to Wal-Mart or any major electronics store and buy a splitter/selecter for your different devices.

Basically, the unit will allow you to connect a few input devices (xbox, ps3, whatever) into one HD connection on an HDTV. You will be able to select which device uses the HD connection to the tv through a switch.

I hope you find the item :-) A Competent electronics salesman should be able to help you out just fine!
