No rear brake lights and rear turn signals not working either front turn signals blink rapidly 2001 chevy HHR all fuses good all bulbs good no power to rear sockets 3rd level brake light works

Your front signals flash rapidly because your rear ones aren't working and that is normal and shows that a bulb in the circuit is out. At least that means the problem is not with the operation of the signal....good. Also your 3rd brake light works which shows the brake switch is working. Again...good.
Everything so far points towards your rear light clusters being at fault, although both at the same time is somewhat unusual.
You don't mention rear lights that come on with headlights or the reverse and fog lights. If nothing is working I would check the earth/grounds and the connection blocks that carry the power to the light clusters, but again both at the same time being faulty is suspicious and if the reverse, fog etc is working then why not the others?
I don't know about your model, but is there a separate fuse for the rear lights that are out? Probably not but worth a check.
Have you recently had something changed on the vehicle, or inspection work done? Maybe wires/connectors/grounds etc have been damaged or disconnected/reconnected wrongly in that area.
Try running a live directly to the cluster to see if that makes anything work as it may show a circuit break as the problem.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

Blank Screen

If it has sound, then its back-light has failed which is a service engineers work but may also be related to a screen fault in which case a new set is needed as cost of repair makes it not worth it.

If no sound then dare I say worse and mostly if more than 2 years old, not worth it, sad to say as parts do not linger very long other than major brand names most are generic badges on economy sets.

Hope this helps..........

The power on my Toshiba isn't working.

I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:

ISSUES:

1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.
2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.
3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.
4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.

Answers to issues:

1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.

2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not.

Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom.

What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.

3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buyand try a board to see if it fixes it or not.

4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in thisphoto.6_17_2012_8_14_45_pm.jpg6_17_2012_8_15_04_pm.jpg

My battery in my 1995 Regal is just fine sitting at 12.6 volts but I have no power inside the car. It only dings when the key is in the ignition but absolutely nothing else. I've checked all of the fuses...

sounds like you have a wiring fault, a common fault i have had before is the wiring from the battery to the starting motor corrodes and stopes all power to the car always worth a check of the wire , RED WIRE LIVE

Sometimes it turns over and starts right up and then sometimes when turning the key to start nothing happens.

Sounds like a fault in the ignition switch, or ( if the car is auto) the lock out on the shifter.
First try wiggling the shifter . Else.
Providing that the ignition lights are coming on.
Wait for the fault to appear then hot wire the starter .
Take a wire from the small terminal on the starter to a positive power feed.
If the car starts, check starter relays, fuses, connections ( under footwell on the right side RHD cars) , make sure the connections are good on the starter. If all these things OK, then the actual ignition switch is most likely faulty.

30" samsung flat screen powers on but tv screen black. sound is good. Worth repairing?

It depends on what kind of t.v., plasma or LDC. and does the screen appear to light up or do nothing (if you turn off the lights, does it glow black like there is no signal or is there nothing at all?) If it is an LCD and the screen is bad then investing in a new one. A plasma might be worth fixing depending on how much a new one of comparable or better quality would cost. It doesnt sound like there is something wrong with the computer/board in it so that shouldnt need to be replaced.
