Hello Chris, everyone.

The alteration from region 1/A to 2/B is done by downloading the EUROPEAN firmware update by the Marantz website.

I recall I logged onto marantz.com and then searched for European microsites (I think it was the German or UK microsite).

You download the FW update, burn it onto a DVD, and then follow the instructions found at the same website root.

Marantz says that you are fully responsible for any damages caused to your machine.
Mine works fine for the pat 1 year + .
But you have to be carefull not to interrupt the procedure, or have an electricity failure.

It is only a 15-minutes procedure and works just fine.
