Question about RTO Esab Plasma Electrode 0558001969 PKG/2

My plasma cutter just flashes fault everytime you try and use it. could it be the ground or would it be the electrod

Check the main lead to the torch,if there is a cut or any hole in the rubber coating it will show fault,the unit uses high frequencey so if the lead has a cut it wont fire up.

See if the torch electrodes MIGHT be stuck... welded together. They have to arc and then separate or unit will shut down.

No pilot ignition, air is ok


Some times when I use my plazma cutter its a cut master 42 .I would some times have to turn it off and turn it back on for it to work .And here lately all it does is air come on and off its like its has a heart beat and then have to cut it off again . I have replaced the tips and electrodes .And nothing .I have took thee electrode out and clean the white dust build up and works fine for a little while

No, Try changing the tip. The one under thr node cone. If it burns back it will concave and increase the gap between the work and gun tungdten electrode.

Plasma cutter is burning through electrodes


Try turning down the juice. Tungsten is very durable, but is prone to melt also at excessive torch output.

Hi,


I would recommend replacing the electrode, and maybe the tip, other that that it sounds like you aren't getting a good enough ground for it to start.

in order to cut the thicker steel just boost the air pressure this will allow you to thourghly blow through the steel. just remember not to turn it up too much. this should do the trick. please rate
