Using only the remote control do the following: open tray, then press on the remote, stop-2-3-7-9, press arrow down until 0, then press OK.

an to reprogram it you have to follow these directions if found from an online manual for this model

Turn on the device you wish to program the remote to, point the remote at the device and press the key for that particular device (TV, etc.) on the Nexxtech remote. For TVs combined with a VCR or DVD player, use the "TV" key, and for VCR/DVD combination units, both "VCR" and "DVD" will need to be set up if your particular remote offers both.

2 Locate the code (or possible codes) for your brand and type of device in the list supplied with your remote. Press and hold "P" until the display light blinks twice and then enter the first code. The display light will blink with each digit and blink twice if the code was accepted; repeat using the next code if it was not. Press "Power" once the code was accepted to see if the device responds by shutting off. Repeat the steps for all the codes listed under that brand name.

3 Search for a code if none of the listed codes were accepted or if you do not have the list by pressing the appropriate device key, pressing and holding "P" until the display light blinks twice and pressing "9-9-1." Press "Power" to see if the device responds, and press "CH+" to try more codes if it does not. Press "P" again to lock in the code when successful.

4 Point the remote at a programmed device, press the device key, press and hold "P" until the light blinks twice and enter "9-9-0" to learn the code for that device. Press "1" to see the code for the first digit; count the number of blinks on the display light and write down that number. If the number is 0, the light will not blink at all. Repeat for the next three digits by pressing the number key for that digit (2 through 4).

5 Press "9-9-2" after pressing "P" to reassign a device key if, for example, you have two DVD players and no VCR and want to program the "VCR" setting to the second DVD player. In this example, follow "9-9-2" by pressing "DVD" and then "VCR", and then program in the code for that device.

It sounds like you would like to re-assign one of the function buttons on the remote to control a different device. If you would like to program the CBL/SAT button to control a DVD player, here are the steps:

On the remote, press and hold SET until the LED blinks twice, then release SET.
Enter 9 9 2. The LED will blink twice.
Press DVD/VCR once.
Press CBL/SAT once. The LED will blink twice. The CBL/SAT key is now ready to be set up to control your DVD player.

To setup the CBL/SAT button to control your Magnavox DVD player, follow these steps:

Turn on your DVD.
On the remote, press the CBL key once.
Press and hold SET until the LED blinks twice, then release SET.
Enter the first four-digit code from the following list: 0503, 0675. The LED will blink twice. If it does not blink twice, go back to step 2 and try the same code again.
Aim the remote at the DVD and press POWER. The device should turn off. If it does not turn off, repeat steps 2 through 5 with the next code in the list.

LG HT903WA Multizone

I did this on my LG HT903WA, and it worked like a charm:

1) Power on player [with no disc in tray]
2) Using your remote control, press PAUSE
3) Key in 314159
4) Pre-set region code will be displayed
5) For multi-region, select 0
6) This will change to 00
6) Press PAUSE
7) Power off player at the electricity point
8) Wait a minute or two, then turn everything back on.

I have just bought a GE Universal remote control and after playing with the codes and my Nexxtech DP3222, I have found the working code for the player. The code from my GE Universal 24921 for the DP3222 is 0956. The remote is sold in Walmart for a cheap price of US$4.96. I hope this info helps.
