DYMO LabelWriter 400 Turbo Installed but gives error message when sending prints

DYMO gives an error message when sending it the test print. Won't function and is appearing to be an expensive paper weight. Help.

DYMO gives an error message when sending it the test print. Reinstalled software and drivers but still not working. Works fine on different PC.

I have the same problem. The funny thing is, another PC had the same problem too, but somehow cleared up and is working now. I tried to do everything I did on that PC to this PC and it's just not working.

What I did on the other made no sense. I unistalled, reinstalled, and restarted before trying to print. It came back up and it worked. But that solution is not working on this printer.

I have experienced the same problem on two different PCs. Both running Windows XP. On one I tried uninstalling then downloading the latest drivers and re-installing, but still does not work.

My Dymo message says "no Labelwriter found"... I have changed USB cables. Reinstalled new software. Tried to do firmware update... but can't since "no Labelwriter is found". I've plugged and unplugged. I've renamed escal.bmp.

The Dymo functions.. loads paper, lights are on and unit function seem normal...

    Any Help?

Installed Dymo 400. Restarted computer and when I send a lambel request, there is 1 in the queue already & it errored out.

Prints fine but the display is where you can't hardly make out the letters. I don't use this that much. Last time I used it it worked fine. I get it out to use it and it's this way. I've replaced the batteries twice.

I pulled the front cover off my Dymo twin turbo label writer and that stopped my jamming error issues. If your not able to print with the cover on try removing the front cover and then print. I have been unable to get it working after putting the cover off so I am now running the machine full time without the front cover. Dust is an issue and I don't have the tear teeth but atleast I can still print!

So I have tried to unplug the labelwriter before and after installing the driver, I have tried unplugging the computer before and after installing the driver, I have tried changing labelmakers to an identical one, changed cables, changed adapters, changed computers(which works but I need to get it working on the original computer) and it always prints 1 label than comes up with error-printer message over and over... very frustrated!

A combination of all of the above solutions fixed the problem so, thanks all. We had one in our office that worked perfectly right out of the box. We then shipped it to another office because they needed it more than we did. Shortly after we ended up buying another one which gave us the grief. The new one worked fine on a laptop with a clean install of XP, on the other two machines which had the drivers and software previously installed it was nothing but bewildering forehead bruising grief.

Unpluggin and replugging in the machine cleared up my "error printing" also. Thanks for the helpful advice!

Make sure you only have one DYMO Labelwriter printer in "Printers and Faxes". If you have more than one, select the appropriate one from the "Change Printer" option on the "File" menu item in the DYMO Label Software.

Where do I get drivers for Dymo LabelWriter 400 Turbo/macOS Monterey?

Older Dymo labeler and not supported. It says to contact them. The software for Windows only went as far as Windows XP. Time for you to upgrade.

DYMO LabelWriter 400 Turbo Installed but gives error message when sending prints

First of all, on Dymos you need to use original Dymo roll,.

Dymo rolls have a tag at the back, non original ones does not have it.

Before reinstalling driver you also need to run the dymo uninstaller utility that you find at Dymo website.

I will post the links for download.

OUR DYMO LABELWRITER TWIN TURBO JUST STOPPED PRINTING--

OK! The first time you tried to print ON THE LEFT SIDE, without anymore labels there, there was a "pending" error message in the print queue. This typically cuts off all furtther printing, as all subsequent requests are "behind" it in order or priority.

To fix this, open the Dymo Labelwriter "Printer" dialog box (double-click it on the tray or go to "start / control panel / printer and faxes" - then double-click on "DYMO LabelWriter Twin Turbo". Once open, you'll see a list of "failed" print requests. Somewhere in there you'll find the one with the "laserwriter output" out of paper message. Select that and cancel or delete it.

If this was the problem, all your attempts will now print (make sure you have enough postage paper in, and you'll have extras you can use, I'm sure!

Hope this helps.

Dymo 400 labelwriter does not print unless shut down and rebooted

It could be how you have loaded the labels. If you have loaded the labels and there is a small gap between the spindle and the roll, it will print one label and give a error-printer message and stop working until you unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back in. I would reload the labels from scratch and ensure there is no gap.

New labelwriter 400 turbo will not print under windows 2000

I had the same problem and accidently discover it was something very simple...at least in my case. I noticed the power cord connection was very good.. I notice the light on the transformer (cord) was sometimes green then it would go out. When I unplugged and then put some force into reconnecting the printer worked. Hope that helps.
