Every time i try to start ub funkeys i get an error message that says "error occurred at application start". Tried reloading and installing the patch, rebooting all to no avail

You probbably need a newer version of the software!

Use a card reader from now on and you won't have those problems.

I think there is some kind of problem with update software of the company.
I have found something that can help you.
check the following path

c:\program files\u.b. funkeys\radicagame\funkeys

there you can find a list of all the characters active in your game, each character has a swf file. Check if your list is updated, in case you found missing funkeys, check this other address.

c:\program files\u.b. funkeys\radicagame\update\funkeys

Sometimes (i don't know why) the updater places the new characters files in this place, select all your new funkeys, copy and paste to the right place. aka.

c:\program files\u.b. funkeys\radicagame\funkeys

in fact copy all the content of the update folder and place inside radicagame folder

it must work.

In case the update folder is empty, that means the update wasn't succesfull, despite whatever la software says, reinstall your software.

I have called mattel on this matter.
They said that Win7 64bit is currently not supported by ub funkeys software. sorry

Do you have another HUB? It could be usefull to determinate where is your problem, in the software or in the hub, I don't thinl the HUB was damaged, it's more frequent, a missconfiguration of the software itself.
Uninstall it, and reinstall again. Before the reinstallation it is recommende to run some registry cleaner software, Regcure, CCleaner, tuneup utilities.
I know, L know, you have your games saved, and you don't want to lose them. Before uninstalling the game, go to the next path.,
C.\program files\u.b. funkeys\radicagame\data

copy all the folders but the system one to other place, You can see, each folder it's named same as your account, and inside each folder you can find a profile.rdf file, it contains your saved game.

Once you have reinstalled the software and updated it, (hope the system will work correctly), you can restore these backup files to their original places and you'll have your game fully restored.

Up to now, there is no W7 drivers yet.
UB funbkeys software was designed for 32 bits systems, so you should run it on a 32 bits O.S.
If you don't want to back to an old O.S. like XP. You need to install a virtual box inside your W7. I recommend you Sun systems virtual box. This allows you to create a shell , where you can "install" another O.S. like winodws XP. This permits you to run 32bits games based on a 64 bits system, via the virtual shell.
I know this is a solution feasible to advanced users, but it's the one I can provide to you.

There is no W7 64 bits solution yet. This software was designed for 32 bits systems and is not working on W7 environment. I haven't tried it, but elsewhere you can find comments about there is no solution, even using the compatibility option of w7.Sorry my friend. Another solution is trying with a virtual box, you can try Sun systems virtual box, it can help you to create a shell inside W7 so you can "install" a second SO inside your W7, I mean W XP, and run XP inside W7. But this is not a common user solution. Hope I could help you.

Please comment about your PC configuration. O.S.? SP number?
Processor? Memory?
I installed Ub funkeys on an old PC (Duron 700mhz) It works, but the motion is quite slow. but It don't requires 5 minutes to start!!!
Ub funkeys work great on a netbook with Intel atom. And even great with a decent Processor , aka Semprom , Athlon etc.
Maybe your problem is related to not enough ram memory, or too many resident programs. Try cleaning your PC with regcure,cc cleaner or even Tuneupo utilities.

If you mean the original disk you purchase with your HUB (big white funkey), it must work, I don't know what's happening , maybe the disk is damaged. I have a question, which O.S. are we talking of?
Funkeys only work on Windows XP, period.

you can go at "compatibility" and choose Windows Vista or Windows XP. but this is not helping for running the game... only installation worked after that.
Now I try the Adobe flash player thing...
