Does the tv make multiple clicking noises before the blinking starts?If not please let me know how many times the set blinks in between each pause(it's a diagnostic code) and I will tell you what the problem is.

Thanks for using FixYa. Televisions have, for
years, had 'switch mode' power supplies, which means that, in the event of a
fault occurring the power supply section will shut down. However,
you probably will not have to replace the supply: it is very likely that only the
electrolytic capacitors on the power supply are bad. If these capacitors have
swollen or dried, simply replacing these may repair the power supply. If you
wish to repair this yourself, soldering equipment and very good soldering
skills are required to change these parts. All this is only recommended if you
have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components.
