I had the same problem only I couldn't get it to go at all. The problem was a bad motor/pump assembly (VERY EXPENSIVE). The bottom inside the dishwasher filled with water, so the intake interlock wouldn't allow new water to go in. I think I am going to throw my 4 year old, $1000 dishwasher out and buy a new one at Sears. Can't believe it is so poorly made.

Check what are the program option in your gadget. Generally there will be two options one is NORMAL 55° (without pre-wash) and other is UNIVERSAL 55° or 65° (with a pre-wash).
Just try the first one. If it works then the second option has some problem but you can ensure that machine is otherwise working.
All the lights on my incognito started to flash. This was after the drain/intake light started to flash also. I called Miele and they helped me to reset the lights flashing. They said that when all lights are flashing that this indicates an overheat condition. They asked if my filters were clean and I thought they were. However, my wife had started to use liquid dish washing detergent and the liquid detergent had plugged up the filter screen at the bottom of the dishwasher. I cleaned it good with a scrub brushing and boiling water. This fixed the problem. Bottom line, don't use liquid dish washing detergent in a Miele, only powder.
Hi I have thge same problem. i sent the circuit board away for testing but no fault found. really frustrating. hard to find any info for miele machines. Thay want you to call their own v expensive service staff. if i find a solution ill post it here
Hi, This kind of drain problem arise if the cold water inlet screen is plugged up, preventing rinse water from entering machine. Turn off the cold water to the machine and remove the cold water supply hose. Check the screen inside where the hose came off the machine. Run some water out the hose into the drain or a bucket before reconnecting to machine. Thank you !!
If you suspect the dish washer, try discharging the drain in a bucket. After the drain cycle check the wash tub. If water is still left, you have to clean the drain filter attached to the bottom. Refer user guide.
The final drain end of the dish washer where you discharge, the fixing junction has to be cleaned, incase it is clogged.
Hi
Main wash is a fault indicator. The is a problem within the heater circuit, NTC, element, relay or loose wire. You will have to open front and check.
Remove 3 screw around dispenser and 3 10mm bolt around door. disconnect hose by drain pump and front of machine will open like a door.
hi the dispenser will always open when the washer goes through it's regular cycle. I would recommend to only use powdered soap, that is what the washer was designed to work best with.
