I have hd error 177 what do i do - Alesis MasterLink ML-9600

I am not to sure about the different errors on the masterlink but i know it is not much more that the hard drive that can go bad it them.
first try reloading the o.s. this helps sometimes. you can get the latest o.s. from the alesis site.
if the issue persists, change the hard drive.
you can get a good 30 or 40 gig from ebay.

Recieving no signal error

Have you checked the wiring and changed the input on the LCD to the input you are using? If you are in input 1 then the LCD must be on input 1 to receive signal. Current tvs have several inputs and must be changed on the setup menu.

177 Fatal Error

Error 177: Thermistor indicates Low Temperature (COLD) Error.

Usualy the fuser has overheated first (error 172/176) and tripped the thermal protection causing the fuser not to heat up anymore.

Normal procedure if a restart doesn't fix it is to replace the fuser unit.

The specification of the DVD drive for the Aspire 5930 is
  • Type DVD±RW (±R DL) / DVD-RAM / HD DVD-ROM - Integrated
  • CD / DVD read speed 24x (CD) / 8x (DVD) / 1x (HD DVD)
  • CD / DVD write speed 16x (CD) / 4x (DVD±R) / 2x (DVD-R DL) / 2.4x (DVD+R DL)
  • CD / DVD rewrite speed 10x (CD) / 4x (DVD±RW) / 3x (DVD-RAM)
This means you can burn CDs -R and +R type disc (incl R/W)
Burn single layer and dual layer DVD -R and +R disc (incl R/W)

Either the HD is bad or you will need to reinstall the O.S. /firmware.
the firmware is avail on the alesis site.

From OKI error log:

Lower heater temp state - Low
backup roller thermistor indicates low temp
seek service if turning off/on printer does not solve problem
