Acer TravelMate 2480 Screen sometimes freezes

On the front edge of the laptop by the right speaker, there is a switch just left of the speaker. That is the wireless switch, to the left of that switch is another and that is the bluetooth radio switch. Below is a link to the service manual that goes over every aspect of your laptop.

this problom i am hearing happening to allot of people and there is a few things that could be wrong with it the wires connecting to the screen could have allot of strain on them or a piece inside the screen could be broken and you will have to buy a new screen 

most likely you have a faulty LCD screen, the only option u have is to replaced it or u can use a external LCD screen to act as screen for your laptop. you'll be needing a VGA cable to connect your laptop to any LCD screen available.

You can use the install disk to recover password,Just boot from the install disk and follow the options
