You can download the full software and driver for your printer from HP support pages
Start here: HP Deskjet 5550 Color Inkjet Printer
Click on Software & Driver Downloads' link and then select you OS. You'll get to a list of available downloads for your printer and OS.
Here is a link to the HP webpage with drivers for your DJ 5550. Select your operating system and it will bring it up. Note: If you have Vista, there is no specific driver for that model, but it will give you instructions on how to use the HP basic driver.
