The first thing you would want to check is your shut off valve located under the sink. Many times these will clog up with calcium deposits and give you low water pressure. To clean the valve you can shut the water off to the house and run your sink leaving the sink open until no water is flowing through. Then remove the dishwasher fill line and clean the valve with a brush or pipe cleaner. You could also go as far as removing the valve completely and cleaning it that way. This will usually solve the issue. The other possibility would be your inlet valve itself is gunked up in which case its best to just replace the valve.

Washers have a (vacum pipe) that feeds a micro switch. The air pressure in the vacume pipe caused by the water filling the washer activates a vacum switch when the correct amount of water has entered the machiene. This vacum pipe could be partly blocked or the vacume pressure switch contacts burnt of faulty. This can be tested by physicaly blowing air by mouth into the pipe and you should hear the switch click.

SOURCE: Not enough water is dispensed during fill cycle.

First check that the fill float switch is working.

Next that the fill valve doesn't have crud that limits water flow. They MAY have a timeout to prevent overfilling if fill is too slow and that could cause the priblem if fill valve is partially blocked.

My Kenmore 700 series top load washer doesn't fill enough water to agitate and wash the clothes on top

The machine is designed with an automatic water level sensor that even in a deep setting allows at the most 5 inches of water. The reason for this has to do with government regulations regarding energy efficiency.

While you could check intake hoses, this does not change the facts.

This would seem to possibly limiit the wash load. I would refer to the manual for any insight about that. My suggestion is to place the laundry evenly distributed just below the top holes of the basket.. For me to say it had 3.5 cubic feet capacity is of little value because who measures laundry by cubic feet. I hope the suggestion is of some help.

My dish washer wont fill with water

there is a float, usually at front left side inside dishwasher, that may be stuck..possibly an utility holding it up, or the fill valve is stuck. When dishwasher calls for water, it fills until this float rises to proper level and shuts the valve off at proper level. If it sticks, water will shut off at improper level.

Washer does not fill with enough water.

The water level is controlled by a pressure switch connected to a long rubber hose that goes inside the tub. If the switch is defective or if the pressure hose is blocked the machine may under-fill.

Check also inlet hose and water pressure from the house.

Hot water stops filling too soon.

Fill setting has to be adjusted and the belt is slipping on the spin cycle and not generating enough centrifugal force to get the water out.

Washing machine keeps filling and draining at the same time and wont fill enough to move on to the next cycle

Hi,
The drain hose is too low and the water just runs right out...The highest point of the drain hose needs to be higher then the top of the washer before it goes back down into the drain. Also if the hose is sticking into water it can create a siphon which pulls the water out of the washer... make sure that you also have an air gap...

Not enough water is dispensed during fill cycle. This causes top washer not to have enough water volume to move top washer wand.
