I suspect the following:

1. Overheating
2. power supply failing
3. system error (blue screen)

I suspect the 3rd. to find out, you need to disable automatic restart. to do that, get on desktop and right click on my computer -> properties -> advanced properties or settings. Im not sure mine is in finnish. Make sure the following checkbox is unchecked: It reads automatic restart.

Now if you start geting blue screens type up what it reads and tell me. :)

In cases of 1 and 2.
1. open the pc case and clean the dust
2. not relevant yet.

Hi.i have a dell e521 with a e197 fp monitor. when i turn the system on the monitor stays in stand-by mode. so i have a black screen,is it broken?

not really.. theres a possibility that the monitor is just on standby mode. try to disconnect the power cable of the monitor, then hold the power button of the monitor to drain its flea power. put the power cable back then try it again.

if its going to do the same thing, check the connection of the monitor at the back of the computer. see if its seated properly.

try restarting the computer..

try draining the flea power on the computer as well, possible that the computer is in standby or hibernate mode..

Spontaniously lose internet connection to status "limited or no connectivity" intermittently and have to reset and reconfigure. this can be after 1 hour of use or several days

We have solved our wireless connection loss by connecting the Hawkings by cable to the first computer needing a signal from it a second computer is able to connect to it OK, these two computers are upstairs and the main computer with router is downstairs this is working OK at the moment without the frustration of losing the internet connection

Space for my computer

One idea may be to go through your computer files and delete things you no longer need. You can also try emptying your cache from your internet browser. Another thing you may want to try is to add Ram (memory) or add another hard drive to your system.

Error Loading Operating System

the two operating systems are not compatible. I assume that you are trying to rollback to XP on the computer. The problem is to remove the Vista o/s and install XP.
