There must be a blockage in the machine base. Unplug the machine lie it completely flat and turn it over, open the orange or grey trap door and clear the blockage. Also inspect the area where the hose/tube connects to the machine.

My Bissell little green machine has no suction at the hose end.

If your Bissell Little Green Machine has no suction at the hose end but good suction underneath the dirty water tank, try these steps: check for clogs in the hose and attachment, ensure the tank and filters are properly seated, test without an attachment, inspect for damaged hoses or seals, clean the machine, and run hot water through the hose. If the issue persists, contact Bissell customer support for assistance or consult your user manual for specific troubleshooting steps.

No suction in hose

Remove the machine side of the hose--is there suction at the machine? If so, run a broom handle or similar through the hose to dislodge the clog. If no suction at the machine, you may need to fish out debris with a hooked stiff wire from the port. Remove the bag and examine the port area underneath for similar clogging. Finally, check the brush area underneath the machine bottom plate for more obstruction. Also, check the brush assembly for debris accumulation. Remove the drive belt and check for free turning of the brush. If turns hard, remove the brush, clean the bearings and roller pins, then apply a small quantity of light oil like 3-1 or sewing machine oil. Hope this helps!

The machine will not suction - it will spray and spin the brushes but will not suction - the power is going to the machine, but it will not suction.

Disconnect the suction hose. While running, check the suction port if it works, by putting a piece of paper. If the paper is taken in, then it is oK. Now, check the suction Hose for breaks or opening before the suction head. Breaks or opening breaks the suction power at the suction head. Loose connection between the suction pipe and the suction port also must be check as this will also cause the same
problem. You may need to replace the suction hose

No suction

Check again for obstructions in the hose. Also underneath where the debri goes when it is being sucked up. Also make sure all your hoses are connected as this could effect the suction.

Suction loss when handle is tipped back to clean carpet

can any one help,
Our Dyson Animal vacuum has plenty of suction when it is upright and the attachments are being used off the hose, but when the handle is tipped back to begin cleaning carpets the beater head is getting no suction. As the handle is being tipped back you can hear what sounds like a flapper valve in the body of the vacuum opening and then all the suction just goes away.

No suction on main unit

Take the top cover off and check the inlet hose by the brush roll for a clog.
