Cant find advanced chipset features in bios for dell inspiron 1545

BIOS passwords can be reset in two ways:

1. using software 2. using hardware.

I would first try resetting using software, here are two software apps to reset or retrieve BIOS passwords.

You will need to create a bootable Dos, or Linux or NT cd in order to run them.

The BIOS password was set by the owner/user of the laptop and is not known by anyone else.
Contact the person who set the password for the code.

DOWNLOAD PCCMOSCLEANER FROM PCCMOS.COM AND BURN THE ISO IN A CD AND BOOT FROM CD. THIS WILL CLEAR THE PASSWORD

Try to locate the BIOS battery compartment and disconnect the small battery for about an hour. - This will reset the BIOS to its' default mode and remove the password.

This could mean two things: a problem with the cmos battery or the motherboard itself. Try to remove the cmos battery first and install. If not,then replace the cmos battery.

Dell Inspiron BIOS Password Recovery

Each Dell Inspiron has a master password which will clear the BIOS
password. You can get this number by calling Dell Technical Support at
(800)624-9896.

Dell Technical Support will request the Service Tag and Express
Service Code from the bottom of your Inspiron.

If you were not the original owner of the Inspiron, Dell will transfer
registration of the used Inspiron from the original owner with only
the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the tag on the laptop.

To transfer the registration of a used Dell Inspiron, fill out the
Transfer of Ownership form on Dell's web site.
