F9 problem code Fisher and Paykel Dishwasher - Soft Touch

F9 problem code Fisher and Paykel Dishwasher - what does it mean? I think it is an electrical fault. THe dishwasher is almost 15 years old and still does a great job. The woman at F & P started to suggest that a buy a new dw rather than pay for repair. I find this a disagreeable answer and asked to speak to technical department. She went to forward me to customer relations, but hung up instead.
Do dishwashers need to be replaced after a mere 15 years. It is stainless steel, it looks good.
Help is this just worth a couple of hundred to fix?

That's an electronics failure code. Bad news.

Fisher & Paykel DishwasherDW60CCX1 - bought new 22.5.12. Error code E9. How to fix this please, as not in the instructions book!!

The code like E9 or F9 in F&P dishwasher usually implies controller fault. No solution but to call authorised technician unless you know how to replace the controller. Need to have a diagnostic tool to check what is happening. You should still be under factory warranty.

F9 is on display of my fisher and paykel dishwaher what is the problem

I am assuming the F9 is showing up only in one of the two drawers. It means the controller has a fault. Cannot do much short of replacing it.

Have you tried to turn the power off and back on?

It looks something like this. You could try checking with the controller on the other unit but don't want to end up with two faulty ones. So may have to order one and try.

Hope this helps. Please rate the solution.

F9 code with a spanner underneath

Hi,

Its a most common problem in this kind of model. The reason for F9 display in your washer is that due to a electronic malfunction that occurred in your unit. You cant replace any of the faulty part in your washer and its very difficult to identify the faulty area in your unit. So if you think you can do it by your own then the answer is "NO".Best way to fix your problem is that call your authorized service centre and they will fix your problem for sure.

Thank you !!
