Blue grid screen on my pc monitor

Hey all,I've been rebuilding a pc.I tried hooking this older packard bell monitor up to 2 different motherboards and all I get is this screen that has a bunch of 1x1 squares with like 6 of them darker in the middle. The computer seems to be booting fine, but its like the monitor isnt recognizing the signal.I know its not the graphics card, what does this screen mean?

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!

Packard Bell OneTwo M3700 PC boots up but no display

most of the time on older monitors you can set the refresh rate in safe mode and that will, most of the time, resolve the problem otherwise time to purchase a newer monitor.

Packard bell tj65 screen problem

Try connecting a standard PC monitor to the laptop via the VGA port. Do you still get the same problems on the external screen? If so, there is a motherboard fault relating to the Video output. If your laptop uses the NVidia chipset, this is probably the fault as some older laptops did suffer from this.
If you dont get the fault then its probably one of these:
1) Screen issue
2) The Screen cable that allows the video data to go from the motherboard to the screen

Hope this helps

Hi there i have just put a new lcd cable in my laptop and all i get is a white screen. I have tried a external monitor with no joy.

if you've made certain that you've seated the cable correctly *AND* the external display is not working- then you have a failed video card. It sounds like the system is not in warranty- so you can try finding a card from a seller, or it may be the entire motherboard that will need to be replaced.

Newer monitor won't work with packard Bell R450

Wow, it's about time to dump the Packard Bell. Maybe the Video Card has gone bad in the Packard Bell and if you fix it your old monitor might work.

Packard bell imedia d3318 no vga signal

It is the video graphics card, or the motherboard, but you can sub out the ram memory one at a time as you test. It might be a bad stick of ram which would rule out the above mentioned

Turns on but does not start up

Blue screen means no signal or data to be displayed. Needs good cpu to display blue screen. Use a Linux livecd to test the motherboard, then reinstall operating system on hdd.

How do I connect the speakers to a packard bell computer

You need a Packard Bell motherboard for this. look on the side of the monitor in the slot, and you should see 2 dark patches (holes). poke the hooks of the speakers inside these holes then pull down. if they are correctly placed, they will not come out if you pull the speakers away from the monitor. Hope this helps! Max

Packard Bell Easy One Silver monitor problem

Hi there.
You need to be looking at the inverter, this is a very thin circuit board located underneath the screen so you will have to remove the plastic bezel (screen surround) check the connections on that. If the screen is still white look at the inverter itself because there could be a dry joint or the coil has gone, if you are confident with a soldering iron then re-solder all the points on the inverter circuit board and try it again.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!
