Seems to be a dns issue. At least that's what xbox live said. Tried firefox on my pc. Unable to load pages. Ran dos. Released and renewed ip. Flushed dns. These did nothing. Not sure what to do. The router seems like it's functioning properly but as mentioned above, the modem just flashes the three lights

192.168.1.1 is a common/default network router connection. Thompson use a different connection of 192.168.1.254 Don't forget to configure XBOX360 and PS3 through there too. You can even find your WEP key just incase you've forgotten it. If you use http://192.168.1.254 in Internet Explorer you may be greeted with a box asking for username and password. Both username and password are " admin " in lower-case. Then to retrieve the WEP key click on HOME NETWORK. You'll see your Wireless network and Ethernet network. Beside the WIRELESS you should see WLAN: XXXXXXX (54Mbps) click on that. In the top right just under SPEEDTOUCH you will see OVERVIEW | DETAILS | CONFIGURE | HELP If you click on DETAILS down near the bottom is your WEP key. Hope this helps anyone out there.

Hi,
it just a cable modem. I don't think it does have firewall. It won't block anything.

Have you tried removing the AC power from the modem for at least 10 seconds, and then re-applying power? This will cause your ISP to reconnect and reassign your IP address. Then your modem should allow you to connect.

My RCA DCM425C from Comcast had the same problem when I came home Saturday, 11/14/09 (coincidentally the same day you posted). Had been working fine - cable TV still works fine including On Demand, etc. The Internet light was blinking. Occasionally I'd see it try to work from one light to three or four, but it always came back to one. Called Comcast, they said their side showed "no signal". Sent out a tech today. He replaced the cable modem, reprovisioned it (I guess if I had a backup ready I could have done the provisioning over the phone maybe?)), everything's great. Lasted about a year and a half. When I logged in via http://192.168.100.1, it said it was still in Step 1 of 5 ("Tuning"), and the logs showed a whole bunch of errors on Saturday that stopped after that. Diagnostics would always freeze the built-in web server and require reboot.
