Turning on. my camera won't turn on no matter what I do, for a few days it said low battery and i won't lie i kept turning it on, but one day it turned off but the lens never went back inside and the camera won't turn on. I replaced the old batteries with new ones, but it didn't work. I press the button, but the light only flashes for a second before blinking out.

Here are some simple things to try first for a camera that won't power on. They won't work for every case, but they're worth a try. Think that the first listed fix may work for your camera:

Low battery

Try cleaning the battery contacts in the camera first with a pencil eraser and then with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol.

My camera won't turn on

I had exactly the same problem with mine. Here is what I did to fix it.

put new battery in
1- Clean around the lense
2- While turning the camera off, press the lense in (up and down with lense movement) NOT too hard. Try that a few times until the lense either retract 100% or almost 100%. If almost 100%, press on the lense a little harder so that the lense be in 100% (like it normally closes)

If you turn your camera on and off a couple of times, your camera will work as it does normally.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Phone does not work properly

There is some pieces on the board inside your phone you broke off when you dropped it. It will need to be fixed by a technician. Hopefully you didnt brake the flex cable. Have them check the cable before doing anything else.

HP photosmart M417

Hi yban, Not sure if this will solve it but many times such problems occur from 2 reseaons A) loose parts in the battery compartment - causing cutting electricity. See if you can detect any problem there. B) when the memory card is damaged or not well placed. Try running it with an alternative memory and see if the problem reoccurs. Let me know if this helped. Thanks, D.

Won't turn on

Ouch! You can't use an AC adapter with any battery-operated equipment you choose to just because the plug fits physically. The A70 requires 5-6 volts, and a Pavilion adapter typically puts out 18 volts. You most probably blew out your Canon's power supply within a few seconds, unless it's fused somehow. Next stop: tech support/repair shop/camera cemetery. Sorry.
