Verizon rival screen won't light up but hear sound?
I have a Verizon rival cell phone that I bought at a yard sale. It was working until I turned it on one day and the screen would not come on at all but I am still able to hear sound, and the keyboard lights up. Verizon will not replace the phone since I bought it at a yard sale.
Is there anyway I can replace the screen or fix it?

Ok turn off the phone and take out the battery and put it in your freezer silly i know but it works...let me no how it works...but it in for 5 minitues
For the Motorola Rival A458 when the screen turnes white it is a softweare issue. And it is a known problem by Verision, so to fix this problem you bring you and your messed up phone to a Verizon store and they will exchange it for FREE!!! (I know because i have a rival and just got of the phone with customer support)
The rival is a glitchy phone and is new so if you take it to a verizon store and they will replace it for FREE!!! It is a known problem with the software.
my phone did the same thing. take it to the store where you got it and they will give you a new one. apparently its happened before with the motorola rivals, something comes loose inside the phone. when you bring it to the store they should give you a new phone for free. but im pretty pissed off, because when i got my new one they transfer only the contacts. im pretty mad that all my pictures, videos,and ring tones/sounds are gone just because of a problem motorola casued.. not me.
I also bought one at a yard sale, complete and in the box. It did not have a meat tray with it, nor a picture of one on the box, nor any mention of one in the instructions. I just use a plate, and it works fine. Sorry.
