To shut off the timer function (turns the unit on at a certain time):
Press the timer button (on the system itself) until the little clock icon disappears from the units display. This deactivates the timer.
Alternatively, you can reset the system to factory default (clear all user inputs and setting from memory)by:
Start with the power on
Turn the unit of using the power button.
Turn the unit on while pressing the Stop/Clear button.

My Walkie Talkie from Cobra, Model ACXT645 keeps turning off by itself.

Battery save mode takes over quickly. As the battery runs down, the radio will shut itself off. It is not something you can unprogram. If you leave it on the charger and expect it to stay on, I can only speak from experience of another brand I use as an in house intercom. The charger tops off the battery and somehow shuts charging off, allowing the radio to run dead in the charger! I'm a tech and cannot figure a way around this, it sucks! This this what you meant? How do i deleate old frequencies off radio shack pro 39 scanner

Hi.

You can try pressing pgm and then enter 000.0000 and hit enter. If it does not work on your scanner model, you have to enter a new frequency over the old one. I don't know for your scanner but a lot of models won't allow you to "erase" a frequency. You can also use the L/O button to skip this frequency in scanning mode.

If you want to reset all programming to factory settings (unprogrammed) turn on your scanner and hold the clear button while inserting a paperclip in the little hole right of the power jack. Release the clear button and your screen should appear. Your scanner is all unprogrammed.

How do i delete a frequency already programed? and can i get a frequency at 46.5000?

Programming a new frequency into a channel automatically deletes and replaces a frequency already programmed. Or, to just delete, and leave an unprogrammed channel, just program 000.000 into that channel

Yes, you can program/receive 46.5MHz. The full tuning range of your scanner is 25-54, 108-174, 406-512MHZ.

Need the manual for your scanner? You can download and print it, at no cost, here:

L/o on the screen only picking up 1 chanel

Do you have frequencies programmed into the other channels? Use the MANUAL key to advance through the channels. If each shows a frequency of 000.0000, you need to program the scanner. It will automatically show LOCKOUT for each unprogrammed (000.0000) channel.

Bearcat scanner lockout on and i want it off

You didn't provide a model number, so this response is a little generic and applies mainly to late model Bearcats. To release an individual programmed channel from lockout, stop the scanner on that channel (select and press MANUAL) then press the Lockout (L/O) key. Any unprogrammed channel, displaying 000.0000, will show as locked out. Programming a frequency into it automatically releases the lockout. If all channels are showing as locked out you may need to reset the scanner. The reset procedure varies my model, so I'll need the model number to describe the steps.

Our radio automatically turns on at midnight. I

Your radio must have an alarm switch that will allow you to choose between radio and buzz. I'm sure you
will find it. Just take a good look.

MOTOROLA RADIUS GP900

Unprogrammed channels will have a constant tone. It is possible your radio is unprogrammed. A dead battery tone is only for a moment, and is usually a medium tone then a low tone, sounding somewhat like beeedeeep.
